FIRST CRIMSON SPIRIT AWARD WINNER FROM WSU LEARNING CENTER
Luke Fidge, senior media tech at the WSU Learning Center in Walla Walla, is the first recipient of the WSU Crimson Spirit Award.  Cynthia Selde, learning center coordinator and Luke's nominator, said that over the last few months Luke has been called on to work harder and has always been professional and willing to go above and beyond what his job description calls for. The award was developed by the  WSU Employee Recognition Program to honor employees who exemplify university values through superior service, creative problem solving and outstanding

OSTROM RECEIVES EXCELLENCE IN EXTENSION AWARD
Marcia "Marcy" Ostrom has been named the recipient of the 2007 Western Regional Excellence in Extension Award. Ostrom is the director of the WSU Small Farms Program that she established in 2000 and a member of the Community and Rural Sociology Department. The award was presented this week in New York at the annual meeting of NASUGLC (National Association of State University and Land Grant Colleges. EXTENSION CLOTHING
Its official, the clothing website will kick off and be LIVE on Monday, November 26th at 9:00 a.m.  The website will be linked on the WSU Extension Faculty & Staff website:  http://ext.wsu.edu/fs . To celebrate the kick off, enter the promotional code:  ESNEW and receive 15% off until Christmas!   Although this site will be up indefinitely, if you intend for your clothing to arrive by Christmas, the deadline is December 10th.

SCHEDULE
Linda will be in on Monday and out on family medical leave and plans to return on December 3, 2007. John will be in the office Monday through Wednesday, and out for Thanksgiving and the WSU Holiday on Thursday and Friday.
