Simple Pest Control Solution Saves Grape Growers Money, Reduces Pesticide Load     2009
SUMMARY
An integrated pest management solution developed by Washington State University researchers is making Washington's grape growers about $5.5 million a year by reducing pesticide application costs to control cutworms and by increasing yields. Insecticide use has dropped by 84 percent and pest control has improved.

Extension Program Helps Curb Pollution of Surface Water     2009
SUMMARY
A three-year educational effort conducted by an Extension Livestock and Water Quality Team has increased awareness of the complex nature of agricultural ecosystems among livestock producers and government regulators. The net result is that producers are taking steps to prevent pollution of surface water and regulators are evaluating livestock operations on a case-by-case basis.
