Genetic Link to Infertility Found in Dairy Cattle     2009
SUMMARY
Scientists at Washington State University have identified a gene and four regions of the dairy cattle genome that are associated with fertility. The finding could help solve a multi-billion dollar problem for the U.S. dairy industry: declining fertility of dairy cows. The research could help improve human fertility as well.

King County Extension Program Promotes Stewardship of Natural Resources     2009
SUMMARY
The WSU King County Extension Watershed Stewardship Program is promoting stewardship of land and water resources among rural and urban residents of King County through trained volunteers who are raising public awareness of the value of healthy watersheds and natural systems. In addition, in 2008 volunteers have helped restore land in several Seattle neighborhoods, and in Redmond, Woodinville, Maple Valley, Burien, Des Moines and Normandy Park.
