All presentations by WSU Extension faculty and staff using PowerPoint should use templates based on the branded design.

Guidelines

You may replace photographs with images that better suit your presentation. Do not change logo or color scheme.

For optimal file size, resize image in an external image editor to correspond to the size of the image you are replacing. Do not resize image within PowerPoint.

These images are suited to presentations, and were not designed for use as posters.

Right-click (Apple-click on a Mac) the template name and select "Save Target As."

Some tips for using PowerPoint:

Keep your transition effects consistent. The use of too many effects can be distracting.
Keep it brief. Don't put paragraphs into a slide. Use a few key phrases, and let the spoken word fill in the gaps.
A picture is worth a thousand words. An all-text presentation invites napping; the use of photos and illustrations keeps the audience engaged.
