Rural Land Use, Water, and Wildland Urban Interface Fire Issues in the Inland Northwest

3rd Annual Conference; November 7-8; Coeur d' Alene, ID

Places where homes and non-cultivated landscapes such as forest and rangelands mingle have many issues associated with them, but most include land use, water, fire or a combination of these. These issues need additional attention as more and more people move into areas that were more dominantly rural. This conference is designed to give rural policy makers, local agency staff, contractors, realtors, foresters, and rural residents an opportunity to learn about current research and experiences and apply it to policies and activities in these places.
