Meet Our New Colleagues

Robert Swearingen

Robert Swearingen is another recent WSU graduate that was too good to let get away: less than a year after graduation he was hired as the Eastern Washington Coordinator for the Integrated Weed Control Project. In January 2009 he started project promotion and implementation, focusing primarily on biological control. Not surprisingly, Rob’s degrees include an MS in entomology from WSU and a BA in biology from Hendrix College in Arkansas. Along with his graduate degree coursework, he also worked as a research assistant in the Department of Entomology.

Rob’s related work interests include the maintenance and restoration of native ecosystems, promoting responsible and effective land management, and learning about natural history. In his spare time he enjoys backpacking, cycling, fishing, and disc golf.
