Nicole Martini
Nicole Martini joined Pierce County Extension in March 2007 as their Master Gardener Coordinator. Her responsibilities include recruiting, recognizing, developing, and retaining master gardeners, who fulfill an integral part of the WSU mission by providing research-based information to their communities on home horticulture topics such as growing plants, insect identification, and managing disease.
Nicole came to her new position amply prepared, having acted as a DeKalb County Extension agent for the past three years at the University of Georgia where she gained experience with program development, community outreach, education, and volunteer management. Strengthening her background are an MS in horticulture and a graduate certificate in conservation ecology and sustainable development from the University of Georgia in 2004 and 2003, respectively, and a bachelor of landscape architecture from the University of Idaho in 1995.
Nicole’s hobbies are gardening, trail-running, reading, cooking, hiking, and camping. She was born in San Diego, California.
