Meet Our New Colleagues

Kelly Fisk

Kelly Fisk didn’t just start working at Kitsap County Extension in May 2007 as their 4-H Youth Development Educator—she immersed herself, according to her introductory column in the June newsletter. Some of her many responsibilities include disseminating and marketing 4-H information, collaboration with other youth organizations, training leaders, exploring new partnership opportunities, and developing programs that will help local youth gain life skills while having fun.

Kelly came all the way to Bremerton from El Paso, Texas, where she was a teacher the past 4 years working with ethnically diverse and special needs students. Her involvement with 4-H began as a child growing up on a small horse farm in New Mexico, and continued throughout her studies at New Mexico State University where she acted as a secretary for the NMSU collegiate 4-H program while earning an MA in agricultural extension education and a BS in animal science.

Kelly’s hobbies are hiking and going on walks with her son and husband, zoo volunteer activities, community conservation education, and Leadership Kitsap.
