Kelly Kern
Kelly Kern began her employment with WSU in February 2004 as a Food Sense Extension Coordinator for Spokane County, where she teaches nutrition education classes for the Central Valley and East Valley School Districts. Her students range from pre-school to high school level, and learn to make healthy choices regarding food and physical activity.
Kelly volunteers for the PTA and is very involved with helping special needs children in her community. She enjoys boating, walking, hiking, and spending time with her family. Most of all, she loves to garden, so spring, summer, and fall work well for her… winter, not so good. What do you expect from a native Hawaiian?
