  607 - Enhance the  Energy Security of the Pacific Northwest through Increased Efficiency and through Development and Application of Renewable Energy Resourcess

Situation:  The world’s economy is highly dependent upon the availability of affordable energy.  As the economies of third world countries develop, there will continue to be substantial increases in worldwide energy consumption.  The consequences for the United States, which currently consumes 25% of the world’s energy, will be immense from a supply, cost and security perspective.

Sub-Goals:  

7.1  Reduce per capita consumption of energy

7.2  Increase production and utilization of renewable energy systems

7.3  Decrease green house gas emissions
