Topics in today's issue of Extension Update:

BIOAg COORDINATOR NAMED
WSU soil scientist Dr. Lynne Carpenter-Boggs has been named coordinator for the university's Biologically Intensive Agriculture and Organic Farming (BIOAg) program. BIOAg is part of WSU's Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources, which the state legislature recently approved for a one-year, $400,000 funding appropriation. She will begin her new position May 1. A complete story can be found at WSU Today http://www.wsutoday.wsu.edu/completestory.asp?StoryID=2788

REMINDER FOR UPDATING MAILING LISTS AND STATIONARY
Since many of us have extensive mailing lists, it is very important that these lists be kept updated with changes in order for the university to continue to receive preferential delivery. It is very costly when items are returned. It is also very important that you use UPDATED envelopes and mailing labels that reflect our correct name and your correct return address.

Please discontinue using any labels that say COOPERATIVE EXTENSION or that reflect the old zip code, 6230 for the Office of the Extension Dean and Director. Effective November 21, 2003 our name was officially changed from “Cooperative Extension” to “Washington State University Extension.”

In partnership with county government, our county offices should be referred to as “Washington State University XXX County Extension.”

The new PO Box is 646248 and the correct zip code for the Office of the Extension Dean and Director is 6248.

To order mailing supplies or stationery, please go to the Information Department’s web site at: http://caheinfo.wsu.edu/. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Kathy Stilwell at stilwell@wsu.edu or 509-335-2837.

SCHEDULE
Linda will be in Pullman all week. Ed will be in Spokane on Monday and Friday and in Pullman Tuesday through Thursday. The Extension Administrative Team will be meeting in Pullman Tuesday through Thursday.
