Topics in today's issue of Extension Update:

MILEAGE RATE DECREASES JANUARY 1
Effective January 1, 2006 the mileage rate for privately owned vehicles has changed from 48.5 cents to 44.5 cents per mile. This is for mileage incurred on or after January 1, 2006.

If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact Kasey Schertenleib at the CAHNRS Business and Finance Office (509-335-2827).

AG FORESTRY LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The AgForestry Leadership program offers an incredible array of outstanding seminars to help participants increase and expand their leadership skills - including two study travel seminars in the United States and internationally. Many of the AgForestry Leadership graduates are already leaders and have gone on to serve as elected officials, officers of their companies, or top administrators in state government. As a program participant you enrich your leadership opportunities through real-world activities in the seminars and life-long relationships with your classmates and other AgForestry graduates. It's all part of our formula to ensure that our graduates "make a difference" in the natural resource industries and our communities.

Recruitment of Class 29 applicants has begun!  Application deadline is April 30. You can refer a candidate or download an application. You can also refer a candidate or have an application sent to you by contacting the AgForestry office at 509-926-9113.
