WSU HOSTS USDA GRANTS WORKSHOP IN SEPTEMBER
The USDA/CSREES grantsmanship workshop that be held in Moscow, ID this fall, hosted by WSU Extension and Ag Research Center and University of Idaho.

Registrations will be accepted starting August 1st. Cost is $175 before Sept. 14th and $200 after.

JULY 12 eXTENSION NATIONAL VIDEO CONFERENCE
The next eXtension national videoconference is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2005, from 11:30 am – 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The July 12 program will focus on

  1. the Community of Practice: Call for Engagement review process;
  2. the launch of the national Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) initiative;
  3. a report on the 2005-2007 Implementation Plan; and
  4. institutional teams.

Iowa State University will produce the program with origination points from the North Carolina State University and the University of Kentucky.

BROADCAST COORDINATES: The program will be broadcast using C-Band satellite services, and Webcast in both QuickTime and Real formats.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR NAE4-HA
Don’t forget, the Early Bird registration deadline for the Seattle NAE4-HA conference is July 15th. County faculty and staff should work with their District Directors ASAP for additional travel funds which have been designated by the office of the Dean and Director of WSU Extension for the purpose of supporting participation in this event.

A new, lighter and fresher look to WSU Extension Web site has been launched! Hope you enjoy the new design by Miro. You’ll notice on the Faculty and Staff Web page, the rotating photo images are from the recent SW District Provost Tour.

SCHEDULE
Next week Linda is in New Mexico attending the summer joint meeting of Extension, Experiment Station, and Academic Programs, and also attending the Extension Middle-Managers Conference. Next week Ed will be in Spokane Monday and Tuesday, then also attending the Middle-Managers conference in NM.
