Topics in today's issue of Extension Update:

NOAM CHOMSKY'S ADDRESS NOW ONLINE
A videostream broadcast of Noam Chomsky's address, presented to an overcapacity crowd at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum, can now be viewed online. The presentation by Chomsky, professor of linguistics and philosophy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and invited speaker for WSU's 2005 Potter Memorial Lecture, proved so popular with students, faculty, staff and local residents that many were turned away or were left to listen to Chomsky from outside the coliseum, which had been configured to seat 2,500. The lecture can now be viewed on the WSU Web site using Windows Media Player and will also be made available soon via RealPlayer. Additionally, plans are underway to broadcast the lecture on the public television program "WSU Presents" in both the KWSU and KTNW viewing areas. The time and date of the broadcast will be announced later.

Chomsky's lecture was entitled "Imminent Crises: Responsibilities and Opportunities." The Potter lecture brings an internationally known philosopher to WSU each year.
