TRAVEL DOLLARS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
This is a good time
of year to make plans for professional development, such as the
NAE4-HA Conference in Seattle or the Western Region
Middle Managers Conference in Sante Fe. WSU Extension supports
employee engagement in appropriate out-of-state travel and conferences
to the extent this is part of a professional development plan.
Refer to the State
Support section in the Policies and Procedures Web site. Program Directors,
District Directors and Department Chairs will handle requests for
additional financial support of travel to meetings beyond that
already budgeted by county, district, or departmental resources
on a case-by-case basis. You should identify travel for professional
development in their Plan of Action and discuss with your direct
supervisors at the time of your annual review.
