REDESIGNED
CAHE HOME PAGE LAUNCHED
The College of Agriculture and Home Economics launched a redesigned
home page at http://cahe.wsu.edu/.
This updated entrance to CAHE's presence on the World Wide Web complies
with WSU identity guidelines while providing simplified access to
major functions within the College. Several areas of the site have
a new, fresh look provided by designer Miro Vejzovic. Of particular
note is the new Faculty & Staff page at http://cahe.wsu.edu/fs/
which provides quicker navigation to pages of interest to CAHE employees.
Main pages will also present information on major CAHE news and events.

FUNDING
AVAILABLE FOR EVENTS RELATED TO AGRICULTURAL SUSTAINABILITY
The WSU Center for Sustaining Agriculture and Natural Resources
(CSANR) will be providing financial assistance on a competitive
basis to WSU Extension faculty and staff who would like to promote
an understanding and knowledge of sustainable agriculture in Washington
State. WSU Extension faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for
funding to host or attend a conference, workshop, or training program
related to agricultural sustainability or to visit a Washington
farm or ranch. Funds may be used for facilities, publicity and promotion,
speaker fees, travel, or other related event expenses. The requests
for proposals (RFPs) may be found on the CSANR
homepage. Proposals are due by Oct. 18, 2002.
CE
MARKETING ITEMS
It has been brought to our attention that the Washington State University
Cooperative Extension strap water bottles that many of you purchased
recently are faulty. When filled with liquid and the bottle is carried
around by the strap, the lid pops off. We recommend that you remove
the strap if you plan on carrying the bottle around when full.
If
you have any questions, please contact Christy
Fitzgerald at 509-335-2837.
